Bangla spell checkerWe are delighted to announce the release of Bangla Spell Checker AponaBanan. It is fully Unicode compatible and works on utf-8 and utf-16 (both big and little endian) texts. Apona Banan can open large text file, or get text from clipboard and then check spelling of the Bangla texts. Currently we are using the Bangla word list developed by Ankur group as the dictionary.

 

Apona Banan has been written using cross platform GUI library,  so it can run on Windows, Linux and Mac OSX and many other operating system. Currently only Windows version is available; other versions would be make available depending on user demands.

Since, our Bangla Spellcheker is written for Unicode encoded Bangla texts, it would require Windows 2000/XP/Visa or other Unicode suppored operating system. You also need to setup your system to properly view the Bangla texts. Some directions are available on the Internet. To input Bangla texts you would need a text input software like Avro.

Please note, the trial version of the Spellchecker is fully featured but has a lifetime of 60 days. After 60 days it will stop working. To buy or get a better version  please come back to this site.
